Counseling Center

The mission of the Syracuse University Counseling Center is to enhance student health and wellness by providing comprehensive mental health and substance abuse related services. The Counseling Center strives to assist students by providing support during times of crisis, facilitating problem resolution, enhancing coping skills, promoting personal growth, and supporting academic success.

Disability Cultural Center

Syracuse University has established a Disability Cultural Center (DCC) to coordinate campus-wide social, educational, and cultural activities on disability issues for students, faculty, staff, and community members with and without disabilities.

Future Professoriate Program

Qualified graduate students in participating departments are eligible to join this award-winning program ranked among the premier models for Teaching Assistant training in the U.S. The Future Professoriate Program provides you with the experience, confidence, and documented performance you need to excel as faculty in higher education.

Hendricks Chapel

Hendricks Chapel is the diverse religious, spiritual, ethical and cultural heart of Syracuse University that connects people of all faiths and no faith through active engagement, mutual dialogue, reflective spirituality, responsible leadership and a rigorous commitment to social justice. Hendricks Chapel may also be an appropriate place to seek assistance if you find yourself needing guidance with a troubling personal situation.

LGBT Resource Center

The mission of the Syracuse University LGBT Resource Center is to provide education, advocacy, support, and safe communal space for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and straight-allied students, staff, faculty, parents, and alumni. The center promotes the academic and personal growth and development of LGBT students; advocates unrestricted access to and full involvement in University life; and serves as a catalyst for the creation of a campus environment free from intolerance and hospitable for all students.

Office of Multicultural Affairs

The Office of Multicultural Affairs seeks to support and promote the academic achievement, multicultural competence, social development, civic engagement, and retention of students from historically underrepresented racial/ethnic groups at SU.

Psychological Services Center

The Psychological Services Center specializes in the assessment and treatment of a variety of psychological problems in adults and adolescents, including mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, relationship problems, work stress, and academic difficulties. The office also evaluates and treats attention, learning, and behavior problems in children. The Psychological Services Center serves SU students and employees, as well as residents of the larger Syracuse community. The office will work with individuals, couples, and families.

The Department of Public Safety is committed to providing a safe and secure educational, cultural, and working environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors.

Slutzker Center for International Services

The caring and experienced team at The Lillian and Emanuel Slutzker Center for International Services is dedicated to the needs of international students. The center’s multicultural, multilingual staff have assisted thousands of students from around the world, and are ready to help you with travel procedures, immigration documents, living arrangements, and more. If you are an enrolling international student, please check the Slutzker Center website on a frequent basis prior to leaving for Syracuse to ensure you are making the necessary preparations.

Student Legal Services

Student Legal Services, funded by the Student Association and Graduate Student Organization, provides advice and consultation on various legal problems and court appearances in certain situations.

Off Campus and Commuter Services

The Office of Off-Campus and Commuter Services will provide you with support, information, and resource referrals throughout your off-campus housing experience.
